Christopher Paige's Journal

A glimpse inside the mind of a twisted vicious New York City Temp.
WELCOME to Christopher Paige's Journal, a sorta kinda different guide to temping. New York City is a UNIQUE market for temps. There are more than 1000 temp agencies in New York City and this does not even include the consulting companies and freelancing opportunities. New York City is probably the only labor market in American with thousands of employers in such a small land area. While in most cities you may have to move or drive hours further when you change jobs, in New York City you can change employers ten or twenty times and still be working in the same building.
The awful truth is that ALL work is TEMP. If you don't have a written contract to work for a specified duration, you my friend are a Temp.
There are a growing number of people who realize that all work is Temp and that they have to take responsibility for their own welfare, Christopher Paige is one of those people.

The Limited Liability Company (LLC)" is an exciting new business structure that has the pass-through tax benefit of a partnership and the "limited liability" protection of a corporation. We believe that the LLC will revolutionize relationships (see Relationship LLC) and the workplace.
Employers have many labor options available to them. Employers may hire employees directly as "permanent" at-will employees, employee-leasing, use temporary and contract labor and outsource functions entirely. We believe that outsourcing work to an in-house independent employee-owned labor pool or Support LLC (tm) is the best possible labor solution. In addition, by way of an equity stake in the Support LLC, your company can have a shared investment in the success of this independent labor pool and achieve additional cost savings.}
